Cooker hoods are an incredible help in removing cooking smells, vapours and condensation and are designed for quiet operation. As a general rule you will mainly use the lower and mid speeds during normal cooking and resorting to maximum speed when dealing with emergencies - such as burning the toast!
Maximum speed is sometimes necessary when using all burners or when griddling meats as this can create excessive vapours.
Many hoods feature hotplate illumination and metal grease filters that can be washed by hand or in a dishwasher. Grease filters do not have to be replaced; they are designed to last the life of the hood.
Cooker hoods can be ducted or re-circulated, depending on the design of your kitchen. That means you're not restricted to fitting them to an outside wall. You can install them wherever you wish - on an internal or external wall.
Whichever type of hood you eventually decide upon, we will have it available. Styles vary from the superb aluminium and stainless steel chimney and island hoods (in 60 or 90 cm widths), to the slimline telescopic pull out and standard wall or cupboard mounted models.
